What does your name say about you?
Well I will share my story here, this is the story of how I got my name as handed down to me by my mother:
My mother was reading a story when she came upon the name - “Lydia“. It was of Greek origin.
It means “of Lydia” in Greek. Lydia was a region on the west coast of Asia Minor. In the New Testament this is the name of a woman converted by Saint Paul. She so liked this name she decide that her first born girl would have this name. But sometimes God laughs at our plans and he steps in.
On my mother’s wedding day her father had borrowed this expensive camera from his best friend for the occasion, and on arriving at the hotel to collect my mother, he had forgot the camera in the back seat of the taxi and the taxi had driven away. So my mother began to pray to St. Anthony, the patron saint of lost and stolen articles. My mom was not very religious but had a habit of always misplacing things and so had developed an intimate relationship with St. Anthony. She asked him if he returned the camera she would promise her first born child to him. No sooner had my mother finished her prayer and was ready to leave for the church, the taxi driver was in the lobby looking for my grandfather. When she thanked him, he told her that he was in two minds to keep the camera and drove around the block a couple of times and then a voice told him to return the camera. Being born in Madrid, Spain and having a Spanish father I was named Antonia Lydia Sanchez-Ache. Spanish children carry the Father and mothers surname, I guess so everyone knows who you belong to, and who to go to whenever you get into trouble.
Well I started thinking - St. Anthony of Padua, the contemplative, was a preacher and a teacher, was the patron saint of lost and stolen items , also the poor and travelers.

How could that possibly relate to my coaching?
- Well I offer that space where you can come to re discover, to contemplate all that seems lost to you. A place to see where you have misplaced your time, energy, freedom, self-expression and personal power. What steals these away from you?
- People come to me because at times they do not see the abundance in their lives, they feel drained, empty, stuck, can’t see their way forward, what they have to offer.
- My first workshop is entitled Joy’n the Journey, a one year journey, where we meet once a month for group coaching. We call ourselves travelers and journeyers, on a contemplative path of self-discovery, bringing joy, passion, fulfillment and purpose to our lives.
Perhaps there is more to a name than we can really see, look for your connections, look for the gifts. It is difficult at times to see how things are unfolding, but when we look at things with fresh eyes, new perspectives, possibility, you can see the lessons and the gifts, and a purpose can unfold before your eyes.
