Lydia Mattison graduated a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coach Academy. I have had both the experience of being coached and coaching others globally, and am part of an extremely resourceful coaching community. I have always been interested in personal development and adult learning, and enjoy the community and connection of workshops and seminars.  I am passionate about bringing people together in learning environments.

I run a family business that creates and sells products which enable people to beautify and transform their physical spaces, while in coaching, I now assist my clients in making their life a creative expression of who they are so that they may bring their brilliance into focus, and discover their true potential. My courage, confidence, enthusiasm and empathy opens others to their own hearts as they are challenged in life, and are committed to realizing their desires for a fulfilling life.

Georgina Terry is a qualified accountant by profession. After 10 years in finance, I decided to change career and entered the change management consulting and coaching arena. I have coached professionally for over 6 years and have had the privilege of working with several great people, who have been promoted to great leadership roles within their organizations. Our coaching relationship impacted their personal lives too (improved self esteem, self awareness, relationships (business and personal) etc.

My passion and purpose led me to start my own business and career coaching business in September 2007. I also own a luxury mobile spa business. This business also helps individuals take time out for themselves, either at work or at home at their convenience. I have always wanted to have my own businesses and this is now a reality

1. My view is not the worlds’ view - the enneagram represents nine different ways the individual orients themselves in life - it represents nine different world views.
2. It is a powerful tool for transformation- it gives me a visual map- it uncovers my habitual patterns
3. It allows me to see my blind spots and my unconscious automatic commitments, my hidden intentions and motivations
4. It opens me up to how and where I limit myself. It reveals what is beneath the waterline, what I have hidden from myself and others. It is the submerged part of the iceberg which is so much more than the tip that is shown.
5. It shows me how I have designed my comfort zone to keep me safe and secure.
6. It lets me see the box I have chosen, but more than that it shows me how I can stretch myself and step out of my box.
7. It introduces me to my world view, my core beliefs, and what it feels and looks like on the inside of another individuals different world view. It has helped me to understand my family in a much more intimate way.
8. It points me in a direction to step into my greatest potential, to open to the gifts of the entire enneagram.
9. It helps me recognize my gifts and convert my challenges into gifts. It is a map that helps me find the treasure encoded in my personality.
10. It teaches me compassion and understanding for myself and others.

Introduction to the Enneagram

Just wanted to share what I thought were two nuggets on the show Power of the Enneagram- Stepping Outside the box. It perfectly captures stepping out of the box and opening yourself up to a more expansive life and your essence.

Here’s the quote from Roberto Assagioli’s book Will:

I have thoughts, but I am not my thoughts.
I have feelings, but I am not my feelings.
I have a body, but I am not my body.

Then who am I?
I am consciousness and awareness,
and I am able to observe, direct and balance
my psychological processes and my actions.

The other one I was introduced to when studying to be Certified as a Coach and I have never forgotten it. I’m constantly looking to see where I am on the street or if I am going down a different street.  I look at my patterns and think “there’s that pothole again, and make a mental note to take a different turn next time.”
