Marlena Fields

My guest this week is Marlena Field, who is a Professional Certified Coach. She has always been fascinated by all aspects that create meaningful and sustainable change. As an expert in using the body as a resource for change, Marlena created a body-centered coaching method, co-authored the book“Simply Being” and is the author of “Body Centered Coaching”. She has also created CDs of live coaching demonstrations. Her techniques combine mindfulness and the body’s wisdom for the purpose of integrating body, mind and spirit. These help coaches and other helping professionals assist clients to access body information that creates a greater depth of insight, self-awareness and self-acceptance. So what does it mean to be present?
Being present means simply “showing up”- being here fully, in mind, body and spirit. Having a clear mind, and open heart and fully in your body.

You may think you are here right now, and if you are reading this post your mind will be focused mainly on my words and the content - or is it?

You may be thinking -  I wonder what this show will be like, I hope her guest will be interesting, What else do I have to do during that hour?  Is this going to be worthwhile?  What if I don’t learn anything? What will I get from this? What do they mean by the “body’s wisdom”?

How much of your awareness is focused only on your thoughts, and how much is focused on feelings and sensations?

Are you aware of any sensations in your body as you read this?
Maybe you are now - having been directed towards that.
What about your emotional state, as you read this, are you aware of that?

Has your attention to your emotional state triggered another stream of thoughts?
Where has your attention gone?
What is coming up for you?
What messages are you receiving now?
